How Art Affects Our Emotions?

image

It is oftern said that Art elicits the contemplation of the mysteries of era. Whether you admire it or not, art influences our feelings and sometimes alter our mood even drastically. Art itself is the visual form of expression that might be the feelings, emotions, imaginations which portray the realistic or unrealistic aspects of life with the sense of connecting/conveying message with meaningfulness.

Almost everything can take the form of art, even our anger can be painted as an art and many abstract artist have done that too. Everything in art relates to the universe. As art are created by human so they are dominated by how people admired a particular thing and how they correlate it with their feelings. That’s why art is dominated by truth because it always comes from the core rather than from surface, one can say capturing the soul is the feature of art.

Art always correlates with our perceptions and impacts our tendencies. Art defines the broad term, it contains the specific subjects, style and the colors tone or combination. A piece of art influences the mood of the admirer, just like when you see a smiling child in front of yourself and how you react gently to them even if you’re angry. The arrangements in a particular artwork influence the human emotion like anger, relaxation, tenderness and hatred.

Nobody wants to live in the room which is frigid and dummy and without any decorative items. Peoples decorate their interior especially to alter the mood, derive positive emotions and to rest on the breezeful environment.Infact, there is probably no one, who use art in their interior to produce angerness or hatred. So, in nutshell, art is meant for producing the relaxation, and it is supposed to derive the tranquility and this opinion is also supported by both science, religion and philosophy.

So how you know, how a particular arrangement impacts your emotion?

Determination of how a particular artwork impact you and your feelings depends upon the ingredients (in terms of colours, subject, pattern and display) and arrangements as we’d discussed. Here are those ingredients of art:

Colours

Colours is the heart of any artworks which gives living breath to the artwork. It is what makes the art possible to express its subject and convey the message. Colours have psychological impact on human being and it is important to select the art considering colours. Knowingly or unknowingly you’re attracted the the color combination of art rather than its any other ingredients.

Brighter and white colour are supposed to produce energy and courage whereas black colours tend to encourage melancholy and past memories. It affects how people think and react, the art which is in dark colour produce completely different emotion than the art which has been painted with light colour. Similarly the red colour tend to produce energetic, passionate and aggressive environment whereas yellow is supposed to spread the calmness often in terms of eliciting memories of relationship and love. In the same sense pink is used to inspire the creativeness and enhance the confidences. However it is found to be correlated with love and desire. All these colors consisting red, black, white, pink and yellow we’ve discussed above are often regarded as warm tone.

However the cool tones are supposed to be the beacon of calmness, tranquility and inspiration.

Green depicts the nature because it is supposed to inspire and promote the natural substance. Have you ever noticed something very calm whenever you got chance to touch and feel the nature, while being free from the so called modernism? of course! you must have, what I’m, talking here is that Green colour always promotes the peace and gentleness. It is also used in medical science to mitigate the physiological problems like anxiety, dizziness, nervousness and depression, because it gives the sense of relief and being free. That’s why landscape art featuring natural beauties are so popular in interior.

Blue or sky colour always inspire the relaxation, if you’ve ever feel the blue sky without the disturbance of cloud then you must know what I mean.Blue colour is the signals of calmness to which people always respond with serenity and that is what also happens with your interior too.

Subject And Pattern

Particular subject and pattern of art also influence the emotion and reaction of the viewers. Patterns always play the great role, because ununderstandable artwork with vague subject and messages may distract the viewers especially those who’re not familiar with such pattern.

The artwork with clear view and focus on the particular subject has more soothing effect than that of artwork with clutter subjects and combinations. That’s why landscape are so much used for encouraging calmness and serenity. For a normal people who don’t understand the meaning of abstract, abstract creates an illusion and tension because of its unclear message. For deriving peace and calm emotions natural landscape and photographic art are strongly helpful.

Arrangements

How you place the art in your interior also affects the way it derives the positive or negative reactions to you. Although art may not be chosen for the interior, it is quite important to place them in symmetry. You buy a painting because you love it, not because that might fit on your interior. But creating a good colour arrangement itself, often influence how you react towards the artwork. It’s also vital to refresh the interior by interchanging the artwork and positions within your home or office. You also need to make sure that the room is clean and hasn’t been ruptured with too much things scattered here and there. This is important for creating the wonderful experience with your interior.

Abstract Art - Definition, History & Understanding

What is Abstract Art

image
This is an example of
abstract art. The subject of
this art is unrecognizable

If you've ever visited art museum or galleries, you definitely have seen the art piece which seems completely mess of colours for you. But it must have poured a curiosity into you as you can’t correlate the art with anything real. That’s what we say “ Abstract”. If you go for its meaning, it itself is “meaningless” and “understandable”. The title itself depicts that it’s completely an illusion, so how could we find the theme of individual abstract. This too also varies from different eyeballs.

Let’s go to the actual definition of abstract, it generally regarded as work of art which doesn't feature any real objects in the visual form however it contemplates the invisible objects in an extremely distorted way. It is also known as non objectives art, which any representational art can’t contemplates, that become the subject of abstract. Illusion of realism features human feeling, wave and tide of soul and any nuances of intellect in a form of shape and color which becomes very hard to extract the actual theme. The intent of abstract is to produce the work without any bias or control by our intellect. Illusion of realism itself is the form of freedom because what you see and feel after looking the work mightn't necessarily same for other.

The History Of Abstract

Till mid 19th , all art and painting were supposed to be visually representational, because the subject of work used to be the real objects and real message and the trace of it can be clearly admired all over the artwork, gradually to represent the theme of reality into illusion becomes artist passion and abstract put its first step in the world of art. There exists so many movements which contributes to the current form of modern art, however individual instinct and individual contribution also can’t be overlooked because all the form of abstract mightn't necessarily be the outcome of movements. The main theme behind every movements was to overcome representation thus to become more expressionist. Wassily Kandinsky is supposed to be the first person to define Abstract both practically and theoretically. In the mid 20th during the second world war, expressionism emerged and started getting popularity, the movement yielded the complete distraction of real object. In other word, the art becomes completely disassociated from representation. After that many form of abstract emerged, Geometric is one of them.

Understanding Abstract

Now you’re on the go with this basic information of abstraction. You now understand the true intent behind abstract, Still I don’t bother to repeat it for you because that’s what all I want to talk about, any artist who product the abstract, their intent on the work is to contemplate their souls, manifest non visible instinct and to give the spiritual dimension to take the artwork into an unconventional height. When you see the abstract and ask yourself “ What this is all about”, that question itself becomes your first instinct to understand the abstract. While producing abstract artist has his/her own intent the admirer might product another intent for the same painting. That’s the very wonderful features of abstract. Now abstract are categorized with color schema generally known as tone and each tone provokes different meaning, that’s why it’s always unique. The another great thing about abstract is that it can mean something to you that no one else see. Isn't that so cool? because one work can contemplate hundred meanings, it’s all about manifesting feeling and you know how hard it's to depicts another’s feeling that’s why people often measure abstract with their own feeling. It looks like you’re solving a mystery that exist on your inner depth and you need to ferret the correct answer to get out from the illusion. I've read here the quote regarding abstract “ If a piece just doesn't speak to you. That’s ok. It’s probably not for you.” Actually the writer has made a great quote. Because this is what the nature of abstract, sometimes you can really discover your own soul on it and sometimes you simply end up seeing the mess. Even if you don’t understand it, don’t worry it still be the masterpiece as it is in reality.s

How To Overcome Creative Obstacle,Tips For Creative Enthusiast

““Being Infatuated with creating something awesome is also awesome, only if you can be consistent with that !!!””

image

It’s common for us to get stucked on some point of our creative road. Tirelessly working on days and trying to pour the creativeness in the night is often hard, most of the artists we see in the creative field are very consistent with their work and routine however in some point they also get stucked. There are many obstacles we face on the journey, it’s same as those particles problems which we faced on our life. We can’t manage the time, sometimes we have more stress and exhaustion, sometimes we feels happy, sometimes energetic, sometimes passionate and sometimes apathy. It’s the human nature however the concern here is, how to flow on the creative ocean even though we’re facing such wave and tide. So let’s discuss some common obstacles which we face most often and ways to overcome them:

Lack Of Clear Vision & Objectives

Everything starts with clear goal, if your goal itself is ambiguous then you’re never gonna achieve that. It’s the common obstacle of most of us, we infatuated with creating something awesome, craft a flow chart in mind, pour energy as if we’re going to finish it today and end up between next week to next month being distracted. To seek consistency, first we must have a crystal like vision, that vision serve as an eyeballs which shows your goal accomplished on far horizon and motivate towards the road to accomplishment.

Solution

Give your idea a display: We’re talking about creativeness here, so you’re super creative, you’ve mind blowing idea into your head, you’ve the vision set in your mind and now you’re going to start creating it right now. That’s good but you eventually lose the sight of vision if you’ve not given that goal a visual display. Can we imagine how many thoughts occur in our mind in every single hour, everything rounds up in our mind and we can’t prioritize it properly. Although the real vision exists on the bytes or megabytes of your mind at least give it a real display through the ink and when your mind is captured by something else, you can navigate it by seeing at the goal you crafted.

Regular Interruption

As I’ve already mentioned, countless thoughts can hover you in a matter of second, sometimes your responsibilities interrupts you, sometimes the negative thoughts that come up every once in a while. You must do something to sustain your life, so you do job basically forty hours a week, you merely have energy to start something new when you get home from the regular duty. Even if you want to start something creative, you get stucked. For example you want to create a painting, you initiated your plan last week, you’ve already finished some part of it but for your surprise now you’re being less consistent with it because of interruption. Occasional interruption is good but regular interruption is really worse. You seems exhausted with your daily routine and such exhaustion neither give you a good sleep nor motivates you to walk your creative process.

Solution

Take A Break

Working tirelessly always doesn’t mean that you’re doing things in right way. Of course hard work is the key to success, many wises have already said this and I also don’t bother to repeat it, But doing something without break sometimes makes you exhausted and let your mind distracted when even a small obstacle comes on the process. When you stuck or whenever you don’t want to do it, simply don’t even think of it. Take a short interruption.

Unknown Fear

For fear I’ve no definition, but I’ve a solution you can hit Google and you will certainly get plenty of definitions. A Good joke isn’t it? Fear is something which we feel, I don’t know where but we feel that’s it. When we’re planning something, the unknown fear simultaneously flow, and question arose what if I will not achieve this, I don’t have this, this and this how I’ll achieve this, I’ll create it and what if people hate it. These all are your unknow fears. Fear is also similar as other emotions, like happiness the problem with it is that when we stick with it, it drown us and landed somewhere which is unpredictable. This fear transform you into a lame when you’ve not even started walking..

Fear can be broadly discussed with following points:

Fear Of Criticism

Most people have the fear of unknown criticism, they imagine people scolding , criticising his/her creative work especially when artist has a out of box idea. When something new hovers on this world it takes times for people to adopt it. Take it in that way rather than drowning yourself thinking only about the criticism.

Fear Of Failure

You’ve not even started walking and you feared thinking there may be a big forest in the way and big river to cross with no boat. How possibly I would cross that? Don’t mind even if this implies with you, but this is what I called a real “nonsense” . First let your foot moves and who knows it may be a breeze. When someone fills his/her mind with all the fear the energy of fear land him/her where they’ve always feared of. Honestly rather than letting fear to take over your mind’s space simply delete them. Take a courage to face them even if you encounter such hurdles and implement the economic rule of high risk high return. In the field of art creating an artwork isn’t the end itself you need to fight with many things to feature your work to the world and I’m not saying it’s easy , but don’t let this fear of failure to stop you..

Fear Of Change

We live our life almost same everyday and fear of doing something new because of the fear of losing the regular comfort. In the word of Brian Tracy it is called “homeostasis”.

"This is a deep subconscious desire to remain consistent with what you have done or said in the past. This homeostatic impulse holds people back from becoming all they are capable of becoming and from achieving.”

This type of fear holds people back to their own comfort zone and stuck people from doing something new. It is the major obstacle for people to harvest their creativeness.

So what’s the solution it’s simple overcome them, you might scold me but that’s the reality transform that fear into energy .Instead think what you’ll do if your works were to hugely admired and appreciated. Be infatuated with positive feeling not with the negative ones..

Daily Exercise & Consistency

To take something to new level you should be consistent with that, and this seems not easy, you need to exercise it daily in order to establish a routine. Lack of regular exercise is also an obstacle to the process of creating the art or crafting something. Repeating the same routine daily can build a habit and helps us to be consistent with it.

As I’ve quoted on the starting of this post, you’ll achieve your goal only if you be consistent with it..

This post written by Cheryl Reif is great to start over and learn from the other experience, you can dive into this and discover more about how to overcome this type of obstacles.

These are my point of view what’s yours, Have something to add please let me know by simply putting in the comment below. I would really love your comment and appreciate your feedback.

Why & When To Frame Your Art

Framed art This is always the topic of discussion among both buyers and artists. As we all know, the artwork itself is the universe, and the frame is the layer which enhances and protects its beauty. Although for artists, it is not always necessary to frame their artwork or painting unless they receive a framed-art order from buyers, from the buyers' perspective, it is often important to frame the art because the main intention of buyers is to hang the artwork on their wall to beautify the room. Framing is considered the primary factor in many cases.

Why You Need To Frame Your Art

Framed art enhances the look of artwork as the frame itself is a vital design element. A frame gives the artwork a better look.

You should frame your art for safety reason: unframed art often have nails, staples, or drips. Art is bought primarily to be hung as a decorative item on the wall of a home or office. Framing your art makes it easier to hang it wherever you want. From the artist's perspective, if we analyze the sales ratio of art, framed art yields more sales than unframed art.

Why Not To Frame Your Art

Poorly chosen frames might distract from the look and feel of the artwork. In many cases, you might need to order a custom frame because ready-made frame may not match your need. This often happens, so buyers should not hesitate spending more to frame the art they purchase.

If the frame is wider than your artwork, then viewers' focus may be directed away from the art: the frame may attract the eyes of the viewers before the artwork does. The problem with a large frame is that it ruins the original look of the artwork.

Tips For Buyers

Frame and mat provides support, and they considerably impact the artwork, which can be admired when placed somewhere as a decorative item. Always bear in mind, you want to frame art for decorative purposes, and it is vital to select the right frame that matches art rather than wall. Becuase you purchase a particular art becuase you love that and not because it may suit on your interior. Framing the art without evaluating whether the frame suits the art often distracts from the artwork.

The artwork will become part of your everyday life, so it is vital to select the frame and mat that you’d prefer to see. This means that your individual preference should be taken into account. In most cases, the artwork itself directs the selection of the right frame, and you need not worry too much. For contemporary gallery-wrapped artwork, framing mightn't be necessary.

You want to transform your art into a masterpiece so that it looks more beautiful and attracts viewers. So take the time to make the right choice, and your artwork will acquire a timeless look.

Final Word

As I have said before, whether it’s framed or unframed, art is art, and it elicits contemplation of the mysteries of the era. It is now your choice to have it framed or unframed.

8 Inspiration Ideas To Fuel Your Day With Creativity

Waking up in the morning with an inspired mind is a good thing, but keeping that inspiration till the end of the day is another challange. Feeling inspired every time is almost impossible. In my case, it’s completely impossible. "Life is art"—this has been asserted by many wise men, but is this the case of you? Are you able to admire art in your everyday life? I'm not familiar with your specific situation, so I would like to hear your opinion and comment.

We have gotten exhausted with our nine-to-five life and have become distracted with everyday life. These are why we need to ferret out inspiration that can strengthen our body, mind, and soul at the same time. If we ever try to admire inspiration, we can discover it on very simple things that usually occur in our daily life. But this mightn't work all the time. If you aren't unable to think, then there are artists who speak about their experience, the hurdles they faced and the dedication they needed to craft the art. For example, Cherie shared her experience with a situation in which others aren’t passionate about her art. However, different people might have different opinions, and the ideas that work for them may not necessarily work for your or me . To give you ease of access to some of the most popular and effective art inspiration, we list in this article the top sources of motivation.

Understand the Self (ignoring self is ignoring the universe.)

Understanding our self not just help to motivate and make us dedicated to discover art, moreover it implies with everything that happens in our life. To inspire yourself to do what you love, first you need to admire your inner self. If your inner self is encouraged then other factor can’t stop you from being creative. If you’re ignoring your own self then you’re ignoring everything.

Examine other arts as much as possible

Observing others work is a great source of inspiration and creativity. You might think that, seeing other works may dull you mind and limited your imagination on what you’re seeing, rather it’s the false view, you can admire other creativity and blend them on your own so that it would produce a flawless art within your mind. Every one of us know that when we see great piece of artwork we become inspired to discover one like that, when we see a movie we become inspired to do what had done by the hero and when we read novel we become inspired and imagine we writing magnificent story.

Explore the Book ( Reading pour imagination)

Book is the fountain of knowledge we all know and I don't want to dispense my time for describing that. The more you read the more your mind stimulus the imagination and creativeness. It’s not always important to read the topic of your interest, if you’re only reading what you interested in, you’re missing other 99 source of ideas. sometimes you might get best ideas from other books of subjects on which you've never been interested in. So explore books, I’ve also noticed one of fellow artist saying, whenever he needs inspiration he opens the book, circle the best quote and that becomes his art topic.

Image Courtsey She Knows (http://cdn.sheknows.com/articles/2013/05/Kori/boy-reading-outside-summer.jpg)

Feel The Music in Silence

for many artists music is the source of inspiration, this not only implies with artists, but also with ordinary persons. Listening music motivate your soul and produce an positive strain in your mind that drives you to be creative. Those artists who don't listen to the music are also affected by the music because most of time they’re producing blare on their own tune knowingly or unknowingly while working on artwork.

Hike to the Natural Beauties (Discover the magic in nature)

Nature is the fountain of inspiration, when everything can’t work for you to get out from particular situations, nature can shift your mind. But not always it’s possible to hike leaving your 10-5 behind. However it’s the most effective source of inspiration, natures inspire us to be creative because we can discover the art in nature that has been ever crafted.

Remember your passion as a child

Childhood is the age of dreams, but for most of us, the nightmare beat our dreams when we mature. Reviving your passion as a childhood, really inspire you. It pours both strength, dedication and creativeness, because what we dreamed as a child always matters , regardless of how much we are supposed to be outdated. So be like a child whenever you need inspiration.

Discover the time of inspiration

although we’ve gone through those seasons already, changing season produce exoticness . That’s what happened on our daily life. For some artist, night is the best time to sketch for some morning and for some dune. It varies from people to people, what works for me may not necessarily work for you. So to discover the right time you don’t need to calculate anything just examine such time when your mind becomes more creative and inspired.

Watch out your past work, photographs and memories

Putting your admirable moments of past in front of you really help to inspire your mind. Collect your photographs, see your past creative work, that way you got an inner strength, and you'll be able to produce a confidence within you. I’d also suggest you to bring camera and capture what seems beautiful and inspiring. This helps you to discover new and creative idea in future.

For many newbies as well as pro artists these idea works, and I hope these also works for you, because as an artist, it’s hard to take both ordinary as well as professional life along.
